There Is Hope, The Musical is at first, a brief travel back in time through the history of the Chinese in Malaysia. From the first and second waves of Chinese initially arriving in the 1400’s and later in the late 1800’s, the story continues to the struggle for Independence. Merdeka marks a turning point in Chinese sentiments towards Malaya. With origin initially rooted in homeland China, the post Merdeka Chinese generation are now granted citizenship, and make Malaya their new home. The 1980’s experiences unprecedented economic growth from an agricultural economy to an industrialized one. Crossing over to the second millennium, an emerging generation is born into an IT economy era. The past of hard sweat and struggles are mostly left behind and a younger and more affluent generation faces fresh challenges, different from what their forefathers encountered.

It happened over the 1-week holiday last week, I believe it was a Wednesday..

Honestly, I've lost track of my days since my alcoholism started. I even think I murdered something last night. I remember.. it's...... an ant. BULLS!

So back to my story, on that very particular day, I read off Facebook about 3-4 group of my friends who also visited the zoo, all different timing! FREAK.

Wait, back to my real story. The six of us - Clayton, Steffie, Penny, Mark, Geoff and yours truly, me, drove down the hundreds and hundreds of miles to Zoo Negara after an unsatisfying Dim Sum breakfast at 'Yuen Garden' or something.. (It's in SS2, same row as Sri Siam, at the corner)

The trip was a disappointing one. I guess the cheap thrills we enjoyed when we were toddlers simply aren't meant to thrill us anymore. Take my advice, just leave it as that. I rather comfortably be couch potato switching onto Astro Discovery Channel at home to watch the animals eating off one another with more wild actions. I could easily google 'zoo animals' to see how hippopotamus and leopard looks like, really, bet you it'll be more fascinating.

Also, the large crowd didn't help. There were more migrants than animals! I dislike crowd like that, just like I never enjoyed concerts unless if I'm given the VIP area.. I need not build interpersonal relationship by rubbing sweaty, sticky, sweaty hands with them nor to lookout for pick-pockets.

Enough. Goodbye zoo. I never liked you anyway..

Funny part was when one of the girls quietly followed M when he was leaving and got into his ride, refusing to leave for the next god-knows-how-long until he lied about returning the next day (which obviously he didn't).

Closing my office room door as I walk out to head home late at night after a long day of work. With an aching body I drive home to a place I call my own. Walking in, warmly greeted by my little fury love, I switch on the dim lights and aircond then place my keys on the bar then pour myself a glass of wine and play some jazzy tunes as I look out through the glass wall into the beautifully lighted city view. I'd like that someday.

I'm currently listening to Lisa Ono.

So I am leaving my current job in hope to be more challenged. Letter of resignation was tendered last week. I am thrilled, but nervous at once. Counting to the very day gives me excitement with zero expectation. Besides, having to say goodbye is the least of my liking. I don't even know how to start writing the e-mail that everyone sends on the last day of their job.. you know? That one.. I had a great time, wonderful time, blessed with beautifully inspiring people, good people. Now all the very best to the chapter I am about to close. What is there to expect now? I honestly don't know. I opt to live the moment, and I shall. Maybe I'll go pick up French then try dating a French guy. No, I don't mean the art of kissing you morons. We'll see, we'll see.

So yes, it has been two weeks since I rejoined the singlehood. Nothing to shout about, just a failed relationship we all wished it lasted, of course not everybody think so.

I did not announce it on Facebook (FB may be over-rated but I'm a FB addict. Get it over with) as many.. MANY would question and sympathize and this and that. I didn't need that to make things worse for me at that point of time. But now, I can happily announce that DARYNNE IS BACK!

I'm heartless? Yes, I would be if I had broken it up only after our anniversary.

People I thought would be jumping on him, hahah... lets just say I could read mind and body language. Sigh, she's been waiting a long time. Oh well... lucky girl!

Work's been okay. Past two weeks have been hectic, all piled up within days with very tight deadlines. Lets pull this through together!

Night Race Turned Mean

Last Saturday was the Energizer Night Race that everyone's been shouting about and the reason many gyms got stink up with odors for many hours because of the hardcore runners training for the 42KM run. OOO Muscle-muscle OOO... err? I was so caught up with so many things that I actually lost track of the day until two days before when someone reminded me of the run. Shake bailed on me as it was pouring in the afternoon, but luckily, Jess and Jolene was running as well.

When the sun set, the night begun.

I dragged Jolene to run with me, WITHOUT CHEATING like the others (marshals shortage) leaving the folks behind to their talks and jog.. (run, they claimed. I really don't know). You see, There have been many hate mails, comments, complaints from the runners because of the poor organizing by the organizers and the brand itself. Everybody was outraged especially when the goodie bags and medals ran out (10,000 packs were not pre-packed), not even a cert was given after a VERY VERY long queue. The emcee was being really rude shouting at everybody and they pulled down the shutter and called the security when they could not control the crowd. By then, I was already long gone hunting for drinks (*evil grins*). Google and you'll find plenty of those nasty messages and even hate sites on Facebook!

But hey! Energizer Mike F wrote an apology letter and stated that they would refund all runners just awhile ago.. Oh spare them now.. unless if you're a lawyer seeking business, brand owners seeking leverage or individuals who have nothing else better to do in life.. No need to act like terrorists even when you're unsatisfied about an issue this small. They did not kill your cat, hello?

Jocey (the organizer) written an apology note on Facebook but video clips of her misbehaving and how the security/cops treated the runners that day really did not do her any justice. Energizer was also blamed for not taking responsibility of the incident. In short, it was DISASTROUS. I feel so sorry for them and I read some ridiculous comments from people that said they threw away their Energizer batteries.. all because of this?! A bit the unnecessary right? Why dirty mother nature? But if you ask if I would join again, I might. I actually had fun myself running my first marathon. So long a proper organizer is engaged of course (regardless whether my company win the pitch or not). Oh boooy, CRISIS is NASTY.

Don’t test patience of Malays, Perkasa warns Christians

The Perkasa chief accused Christians of exploiting sensitive issues ahead of the Sarawak elections.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 — Christians should be wary of making unreasonable demands such as asking that bibles be printed in Bahasa Malaysia, Perkasa chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali said today.

The Malay rights group president said that Malays have been patient for “far too long” and have allowed non-Malays to make excessive demands. All malays or only malays in PERKASA group? Cuz my malay buddies seems cool about it and living comfortably with us. Study together, work together, eat together, party together, go for holidays together, go toilet also together. No problem also.

“How many Malays are Christian? Why do you have to have bibles in Bahasa? Why not use bahasa Iban, or Kadazan? Because East Malaysia is not West Malaysia (North is un, South is down, East is right, West is left. GET IT?). BM is our national language and most of our older generation folks learnt BM in school, rarely English, except the wealthy ones.

“This is a problem of national security ... we (Malays) have been far too giving, I want to remind them to not be excessive in their demands,” said Ibrahim.
National Security? In which ACT? Bibles do not promote sex slavery nor adultery. We love hugs and kisses.

“They are not the majority of the country,” he stressed. Agreed! and then..? So minorities got no rights to speak?

The Pasir Mas MP said that the reason why the Christian community were making demands now was because Sarawak elections were underway. Most of the Eastern people ARE Christians anyway but many orang asli. They speak BM but practices Christianity. Teacher taught me that in school last time. History was a fun subject to learn.

“They are taking advantage of the elections, they raise these things and we cannot object ... they are trying to exploit sensitive issues,” added Ibrahim. So you will only please us during elections so that we could vote for you?

“We have not brought up the issue of our rights,” he said. Really? *flips old papers*

Christian groups have been locked in a dispute with the government over the usage of Malay language bibles, or Alkitab, and over the 35,000 new copies that have been impounded in Kuching and Port Klang by the home ministry.

The ministry then allowed the bibles to be released on condition of being stamped with serial numbers and the phrase “For Christians only”. Christian groups had initially refused to abide by these conditions and have not collected the copies. What if the cina-man and indians don't read English and only understands BM because of their low education level? 'language profiency' aka 'kemahiran bahasa' in BM.. (ehh I scored my BM okay.)

The Najib administration said yesterday that the Malay bible importers have now agreed to collect the 35,000 copies impounded in Port Klang and Kuching.

However, the importers of the books in Port Klang have said the bibles will not be sold or distributed, but will be preserved as museum pieces to illustrate what Christians have called the “defacement” of their holy book.

Home Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Mahmood Adam said the 10-point solution proposed last week had “paved the way” for the importers, Bible Society of Malaysia (BSM) and The Gideons, to collect the books.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein himself had also been quoted as saying that the latest move was a “positive response” to the Cabinet’s collective decision in drawing up the 10-point solution.

What difference does it make if salary's out on time but claims aren't? It takes up 1/3 of your salary monthly then delays a couple of months to be paid out for every claims. Some times a few claims combined just to be released together MONTHSSS later. What fuck sense is that? So what? I'm supposed to stinge on my expenditure with piled up debts just because of their inefficiency in work? Again, what fuck sense is that? It is only that particular department that's making life so fucking difficult. Then people start bugging me for their cheques and ruining not just my own reputation but the company's as well, for fuck sake? This is an entertainment line, we constantly socialize and we don't fucking make 10K a month. Do the math. Manpower shortage? Recruit more then. Need mother to teach you ABC again?

Dry Chili Noodle is just one of the few in their breakfast menu. Priced at RM2 (DIRT CHEAP), the sauce is well cooked with chicken and fish cakes, not too salty, just nice. This' has been my favourite breakfast choice since I first tried it a month ago. They have yummy lunch set (rice RM9.90 or noodle RM8.90) everyday. Definitely worth every penny!

Wedding: Prashan & Shermaine

Now you have seen the Indian wedding at Melaka (Prashan's a mix) How did the proposal go? (I like the part when he was on his knees, Shermaine went on blabbering for awhile before accepting the ring) Kesian... kesian.. but he still nailed it in the end.

A knot was tied on the 26th of March at Oriental Banquet PJ (They had their first wedding at Melaka). The bride was married to a casual singer/blogger of MelakaBoy/DiGizen. The groom was married to.......(I don't know her in person but all I can say is she's a sweet looking thing). LUCKY MAN!

Wedding was scheduled to start at 6.30pm (I was speeding at 140km/h with Kelisa for this kay)

but ended up conforming to the typical Malaysian timing and started around 8pm. Thank God my house was just around the corner. Jon's IN2 colleagues and Geoff was put at our table that night with a few other guys. Well well... lights was switched off due to Earth Hour, special performance by the groom himself and a kid... yadda yadda I missed some of it. The food was slightly different from your ordinary Chinese 8-course menu so thumbs up for that pick.

There. Wally's Proton Wira turned Lamborghini (that's what the Yeoh siblings said when they first saw the pictures. dumbasssss!). As mentioned in my previous posts, it was a hit-and-run by a truck when that fucker brainlessly cut into the fast lane (Trucks are not even allowed to be on the fast lane by law. Why isn't there a stricter enforcement on those rowdy rides? I believe many deaths have occurred because of them, no?). Wally was a lucky man to have survived the horrific crash. Anybody else would have died (especially if he had a passenger which could have been Mel or ME if we had followed his car that day), even the doctor refused the believe that they found no internal bleeding or what-so-ever.

He was rushed to the clinic when the Ayer Hitam call-men first found him stuck in the car (turtled over) surrounded by a bunch of selfish buggers who just stood by and frantically waving HELLO at him (sense the sarcasm TQ) and taking his Gucci, GPS and a few other valuable things with them on the way out (HELLO? BODOH? Hospital would be an obvious preferred choice, right?). In the car he had his Sony Vaio & our company notebook with him and even told the driver that he wants to take along the notebooks but they refused to let him have it. Upon arrival at the CLINIC (remember he just crashed his car with head injury?), he was again SENT AWAY to the hospital by an ambulance (assisted by a lady nurse).

BATU PAHAT GENERAL HOSPITAL indeed (since it was the shortest distance to get medical assistance). It was afterall an emergency. It took us three hours to rush down from KL so that pretty much means they had THREE HOURS to clean his wounds. Guess what?

He just entered the cleaning ward when we arrived. Oh right. Malaysian timing, typical SLOW-MO's even at the emergency ward (wait, that's general hospital. Different if it's private because they would earn five figures more hence the 300 times better service). When Wally got out, he told us where the company money went (refer to previous post) then back to his rat hole with all other patients. It was, apprentally apart of their hospital procedure to detain the patient as such for at least a night for observation. He had like 3 doctors to check different parts of his body (one specky, one skinny, one fatty) trying hard to explain to us in English of his condition. We were in maze, didn't they get their education certificate by studying those texts in the international language, English? Drowned in doubts, what other choices do we have but to put Wally's life in hands of the 'professionals'. Well, since he was cleaned by the doctors and nurses as told, he spent a night there.

Mel and I then drove down to JB and found a budget hotel that cost us only RM145 to stay for the night (we extended our stay due to work purposes). Next morning, we received a call from Wally's family members who rushed down from Penang. They wanted to transfer him to Sg. Petani hospital in Kedah when the doctors at Batu Pahat could not fix his head injury because they do not offer such facilities WHICH they DID NOT inform us in the beginning (the cut was so deep you could see his skull and inflammation has already begun then) ... much ding-dong-ding-dongs then in the end, they figured it was not worth the distance to put a suffering patient/son in the twelve hours ambulance ride (VVVIP style baby!) and Wally finally arrived at Tropicana Private Hospital in Sriwee's private ambulance, doctors unbandaged him and found bits of glasses and grasses in his wound.

WHAT THE FUCK. After over twelve freaking hours of having the patient with them...?? They have no excuses. NONE. Would your ever entrust your life in their hands? Remember, it's BATU PAHAT GENERAL HOSPITAL.

Melby would be so happy to freely glide into the basket and wallop everything in there. NOMS NOMS NOMS you greedy little Sugar Glider! (You can find them at Pets Wonderland for about RM350-RM400)

Wallace aka Wally aka DJ Butter Fingers, is fine now. Another one or two more surgery to go. His body is already immune to anesthetic anyway. He'd be happy to have more visitors as he is pretty bored there alone. Sigh, that's our boy...

I've just visited Wallace at the hospital first time since I got back from JB on Saturday.
Like I mentioned in my previous post, he got transferred to Tropicana hospital (that is like a hotel, not hospital. Have you been there!??)
Before that, for the entire day, my colleagues have been asking about him; "How's Wallace?", "What happened to him?", " How badly is he injured"... the list goes on, and, it was a repetition of the same questions..

It is either because of the e-mail that our HR woman, Aileen blasted out (when things like these happen, internal e-mails always pops up on our Outlook screen. In other words, we get first hand information). That shows how WE CARE.

That was so sensible of her. But hey, that IS her job, RIGHT? (HAHAH, CHILLING AILEEN, CHILL. JUST KIDDIN!) Every time anybody asked bout Wallace, I felt like taking out a recorder and replaying the whole story telling session...over and over again. (MEL! Don't pretend that you didn't think of that)

Goodness gracious!
I know, I know, everybody was just concerned (I shouldn't have mms-ed my boss Wallace's ninja turtle car's photo; that shot was taken by the fellows with walkie-talkies when it first got toppled over). Oh right, they're known as the CALL-MAN (sounds like HITMAN aye? except that they carry those talkies instead of guns and daggers).

First thing he said when he got out of the ward when we met him at Batu Pahat general hospital was: ".. the emergency dude took the money from my wallet". Second was: (in Mandarin, "my hair cannot grow back already", with a sad face) AWWWWW... kesian, for a VAINPOT like him, yes, PITIFUL indeed. But puh-lezz, he's already planned to go under the knife again to get his scalp fixed next year. THAT IS TRULY OUR DJ BUTTER FINGERS! (I bet the first place he'll go when he gets out of his sick bed would be SENSE TTDI and he'd stay there on the console sticking his butter fingers to the turn-tables until morning)

Okay, okay, I may have lied about the crutches. He's absolutely fine.. Okay, I may have lied (or not) also about posting the ninja turtle car pictures in this post. Spare me please. I've yet to have time to edit those pictures. (I have the tendency to fix my photos' saturation and contrast levels before I upload them anywhere)

Okay. I'll keep my words this time. Gimme a couple of hours and it'll be up. By noon. GEEEEHEEE!

I just returned from Johore yesterday and it was one hell of an eventful weekend. My colleague, Wallace, got into a really horrifying car crash on the way down south when a truck knocked him when trying to cut into his lane. His car toppled over after a few spin and he had himself pulled out of the car. A typical case of hit and run. (That again reminds me of how much I hate rowdy truck drivers) I'll share the shots in the next post.

The last year July 31st, K-Pop dream girls, Wonder Girls stepped foot on our home ground at Sunway Pyramid. Jon got us some passes so we squeezed through the crowd with a couple of his friends that evening.

Upon entering, the sky suddenly darkened and it poured heavily. Can you imagine? Those teens actually stood there and waited until they got in. Seriously, are the ant size sights of these Korean girls really worth it? Watch them on youtube or something. Anyway, plastic disposable rain coats were being given out. So, it wasn't too bad of a planning besides the long wait for the show to kickstart.

Ask me if I'd watch them again? Nah. I don't think so. Cheerio!

Wedding: Joanne & Ser Hon

Some time last year I attended Daryl's sister's wedding at a faraway hotel (which I forgot where). I kept questioning Jon, why there? It was far from town so I thought maybe they're having a budgeted wedding. Somehow, that hotel turned out to be huge and pretty, of course, expensive too. I liked the whole decoration and set up... little little things from flower settings to registration counter, door gifts, backdrop and opening gambit (they had a huge seashell thingy. weird i know).. Wedding is such a complicated thing.

Since we weren't close to the newlyweds, we decided to have our own little photography session. Sort of like a family portrait (with someone I really isn't fond of in it, unfortunately), and Liang was our so-called photographer that night (he's a very dangerous person to shop with because he will psycho you to buy things you don't need = SPLURGING on RUBBISH) (yes, he's very vain too).

In conjunction with our big boss, Richard Steven (whom I renamed as Mahatma Ghandi)'s birthday, we had our yearly lunch potluck. Of course, all halal, we had a very yummy hearty lunch. Everyone played roles to bring a dish (we PE chose to buy some pastries from Le Merienda which by the way is super yummy) and gathered upstairs for the get-together.

People'n Rich is such a great place to work at (not shoe licking) mainly because of the people. We are like a big family here when all five companies come together (PnR consists of People Experience, Ambient Media, Display Asia, Media Consortium and People'n Rich Advertising). Really. When I first joined in 2009, I thought I was just gonna be working in a small time local bred organization, but hey! People Experience Events & Marketing (owned by Jess & Richard) are part of a holdings company (Owned by Richard & Hakuhodo Japan) which is pretty darn awesome! From a shared office on M floor with Ambient and Display when we first started, we eventually expanded and moved into our pretty little cozy office on the 1st floor.

Yes, we own two blocks here. Although parking is inconvenient, MBPJ visits often and food choices are limited, Damansara Plaza is actually a very comfortable neighborhood to work at. We have Sids Pub, Escobar and the german pub right downstairs, fine dining restaurants like Chef Diary, Flamenco, Chef n Brew down the road and big corporations like Dentsu, Adidas, Apple and VHQ at the back row.

So yeah. I'm just waiting for our next company trip, wonder where will we be going this year (we went to Phuket last year). Enjoy the pictures. Cheerios!

Last year, a crisis arise for Honda Malaysia - 'My Honda Tak Guna' by Jess Ross.

It has done much damage for the corporation and affected their sales volume here in the country. I mean, come on. We're living in the world of technology where 80% of people aged below 50 are IT-literate and news circulate within clicks. I even received several forwarded e-mails from clients and friends regarding this issue at that point of time. Insiders were telling me about how many of Honda drivers began to lodge complaints of the same issue and the increase of order cancellation after the incident. Monkey see, monkey do. Then, i truly understood the meaning of Crisis Management (I once learned that in college and scored the paper okay). Why wouldn't Honda just replace that faulty unit with a brand new piece and save all that trouble of going through the whole legal process and having their name exploited by such a small issue. Or, just stop using poor quality parts and live up to the brand. No rocket science dude..

Funny part was, Ross had strangers (the management level men in the car industry which I can't reveal) approaching him regarding the MHTG case. That was hilarious! Highlight my words.

The irony here, my dad suggested Honda City to me since I plan to get my own car when my sis gets her license in a couple of months time (which I would have a couple of hundreds less to spend every month). I quite like the design of the car, price is as well within my budget, specs and maintenance are fine too... but.. Honda? Should I take the risk?

Much love missing since I last blogged about anything.
Okay okay, I shall revive this dust collecting site again since you've been calling out my name every time I click on other blog sites.. maybe start doing video posts too! meh.. I camera shy.

SOOOOO MUCH have taken place in the past few months. Events after events, trips after trips (okay la maybe just a few trips). Either way, my photo albums are taking much space on my Facebook and hardisk. Time to share share a bit.

SO, I start with some self-taken vain shots to remind you of how I look. Well,

I OWN YOU SILLY BLOG SITE ANYWAY. Bare with me love.

My job and I, we have this love-hate relationship thingy going on. I enjoy it but hate it at the same time. Maybe because it isn't buying me my car yet. Whiny working people like me. No fun ya knoe? Events line is not as glamorous as you may think, it is a very depressing job that destroys your social life and contributes to your beer belly. Clients drink, suppliers drink, bosses drink, colleagues drink... summore got friends leh? You think my liver is immortal? Siaoh!

Despite all that whining session, I did enjoy some perks out of it. Such as free goodies, opportunities to meet potential future bosses, working with celebs.......... speaking of celebs!

I worked with a couple of local 'celebrities'/entertainers/goodlookingpeople) this year, (last year was Will Quah, Julie Woon, JJ and Ean). This year would be again, my favourite host, Julie Woon, Hannah Tan... hear me say HANNAH TAN. She's sizzling hot. I would date her if I was a man. Oh, she's seeing Remy from Inuendo now, lucky fellah. Oh, I met Amber Chia too! She can speak English okay, don't pray pray..

Along the way, I met Moe Nasrul (a very funny guy who turns out to be a mutual friend of mine with a highschool friend. I actually thought he was gay in the beginning of our conversation. SHHHH!), Douglas Lim (when he cracked the 'Buddha-Jesus-Nabi joke), Reshmonu (my bosses were in discussion on something with him. i don't know what's the story but the least I know, or say I'm pretty sure that I didn't leave much of a good impression on him and his wife the last he visited my office!) and Henry Golding (did I mention that he's really really REALLY good looking with that sexy smile?).. hmm did I miss out on anyone else? I don't know, gotta review my FB photo collection page again.

Enough with the celebs, I'll post up pictures of them in my next or next next or next next next post anyway. Enough also with the babble, I'll talk more about it next time, I've stared at the notebook the entire day so I'm pretty exhausted right now. Time for some pampering with my new Dermalogica products at home. A young woman like me looking five years older because of improper practice of whatsoever (I meant losing out on face treats and proper lifestyle) is no good.

4 Laughing eyes
4 Well-shaped legs
4 Loving arms
2 Firm milk containers
2 Nuts
1 Fur-lined mixing bowl
1 Firm banana

Directions:
1. Look into laughing eyes.
2. Spread well-shaped legs with loving arms.
3. Squeeze and massage milk containers very gently.
4. Gently add firm banana to mixing bowl, working in and out until well creamed. For best results. Continue to knead milk containers.
5. As heat rises, plunge banana deep into mixing bowl and cover with nuts, leave to soak (preferably NOT overnight).

Always book in advance and they require credit card for phone booking. Friendly and helpful staffs smoothened our transaction process. Located in the heart of Legian Street, it was easy access to 'Bali Hot Spots' and walking distance to the beach, shops and clubs. Reasonably priced at RM153 for a Deluxe, we had a pretty bed with clean toilet. The standard room has rooms sharing toilets and costs slightly cheaper but it still looks pretty and comfortable. The package came with a complimentary breakfast for two every morning. Oh well, don't expect tongue teasers though!

Hates:

...the thin blanket, it's not quilt. Our Deluxe's air-conditioner was pretty cold but not for the Superior. The water takes awhile to heat up but a great wake up call for drunkards.

Overall:

Definitely a great stay! Strongly recommended!

I've never tried paintball. Energizer is obviously kicking it hard with the cool elements; mexican standoff look-alike build-up structures to substitute the usual boring inflatables, team captains to wear a head cam (live projection).... how can anyone ever wanna miss it? Players and spectators stand to be treated to a visual feast of neon colours, fast-paced action and adrenaline as the glow-in-the-dark pellets, uniforms and props whiz away at the night event.

It's Sunday all over again.
I tend to blog on Sundays, I feel. Guess I'll make it the blog day.

It's been a busy week and it is worse to come.
Celebrated Wei San's 22nd birthday on Saturday with the Stoned Munkeys. Wallace, Sue and Ee Han coincidentally headed to Zouk as well. Rumours came and we left to Werner's after finishing the last bottle. It was a fun night.

Friday was Ai Peng's Day, my 10-years buddy celebrated her 21st birthday then. Month was extra chaotic that day and it was freaggin Cheeena if ya get whad I mean. I guess she's officially my only friend that I've known the longest.

Last night was Sky Bar. Kim threw Daryl a surprise there and had us over. Great bonding time with no bimbos or stuck-ups.. Halelujah! Ended it with our all-time favourite Seng Kee siu yok mee. Yummms!

Sunday was supposed to be my sweat day at TTDI and bonding day with dad. However, I ended up at Teluk Gong having seafood for lunch. Scrumptious and affordable is how I would describe it. 8 dishes (crab, mantis prawn, butter prawn,fried bun, fried egg, vege, noodle, fish, fried squid) all came up to 116 only. Damn cheap! And that fed 7 of us.

Watched The Legendary Owl (or sumthin liddat) with boyfee, Joshua and Liang after and truthfully, I liked it. If you ever do watch it, do it 3D. Definitely way interesting. With Joshua, we almost never missed Seapark Maybank nasi lemak. So supper it was. We love the nasi lemak, otak-otak and maggi goreng there.

Sunday nights should best end with Light fm or some jazzy tunes. It always lit my day and whine less bout Monday blues. You should too.

Speaking of work, I just got another offer recently. Brand managing? Yeah, sure sounds interesting.. Something I was looking into besides marketing and PR. Turned down an interview to join BAT last time, turned down another event job as well. I'm just so comfortable with where I am now-it's near my place, flexible job scope, surrounded with very nice people.. Although pay like crap and multitasking like there's no tomorrow..
How la dey.. Marry an ole rich man and remarry with his fortune after he dies lah.. Lolx. That's what Elissa used to say anyway..

Oh boy, it's only been Tuesday and I'm already hoping it's Thursday. I sure missed the four days holiday. It was one hell of a crazy weekend.. FUN-FILLED.

I've soooo much to blog about but I just never got the time to. I've been long forgotten in the bloggers scene. Blehx. ...whyyyy.. Imma tear.

Pitches just kept coming and coming for the past few weeks. Closed a deal two weeks back for Energizer. All you hardcore paintball kakis will surely be excited when I say "It's the FIRST ever, in Malaysia,some say in Asia pacific, NIGHT paintball competition, Counter Strike edition". That much I could reveal now.. The launch will take place roughly two weeks from now to kick start the promotion and registration... Stay tuned for more. I'm gonna need some good lookin people, bloggers, friends and whoever not to help me out with this. ;)

In the past few months since my last proper update here has been busily occupied with events and occasions.. To track it backwards, the latest thing would be the Raya festival. Selamat Hari Raya fellow malaysians and my friends! It has been sinful as I couldn't help myself but to whack all those yummy rendang, lemang, nasi dagang, keropok and yumms yumms much more! Ahhh I'm a sucker for great food. Love to see people of different colours and flavours come together to share the same platter of food, drinks and air.. That's more like it Lah!

Last Saturday was Min Hui's 18th birthday, week before was Nadine's 24th and Aaron's 19th, I think? Happy Birthday lovely people! Rock it hard this year! I even attended a room party in KL that led me to Thai Club at the end of the night! Oh gawd... It was my first time there and the experience of being in a club that's well known to be a sleazy place sure isn't a comfortable experience.

..... Let's see.. Before that was DiGi D'Ultimate Birthday Bash at QE2 Penang and OKI's Pirate Party and PC on Lili Marleen.. There's not much I could say without having to show you the photographs. Oohh la la!! Lots of sexy people on board.

Besides that, I just had a few clubbing sessions and loads of Strongbow and Tiger everyday! Especially since the new Sid's Pub opened below my office at Damansara Plaza. Great drinks, great food, great companions! It has taken over the status of PE's second home from Escobar!

Mm mm.. It's probably half past twelve now and I've another more day till 1Malaysia day. I'm not patriotic, I'm just a people person.

It feels great to be appreciated, even just for the petty things.. Met many good people along the way, mentoring me. YOUss know who you are when you read this.

It gets very frustrating and irritating at times, especially when you get people who have absolutely no sense of urgency which ends up eating into your time and effecting everybody's work. Having said that, I will not deny that I may be one of those people at times. heh. Satisfaction kicks in immediately upon meeting a deadline with great work. Then we are off for some good time.

World Cup just ended.. Won or lost much? My pot of gold is still empty. The only thing I bet on was drinks, with Peng, which I won. Thanks SPAIN! Wanted Germany to win though.. hmmm.. Speaking of which, Jan is going back to Switz soon, Eli just left for Aussie land this morning and Jules left last week. Soon, it will just be me, myself and I being left behind.

Anyways, its 1:31 in the morning now. Don't have much time to catch up with my beauty sleep.Time for the bed bugs bite!..

The Suara Sinar Anakku Bus campaign has been running for five weeks now and PE has brought it down to Kota Bahru yesterday. If you are wondering what's in the white bus, it is actually a moving recording studio. The objective is to record voices of children aged 3 to 12, where a kid out of each age category walks away with RM5,000 by the end of the campaign. The result will be announced at our finale stage show in Klang Valley (venue to be confirmed). Meantime, you can find them at KB mall doing what they're best at; henna tattoo, face painting, i-Gallop challenge and voice recording.. all FREE OF CHARGE.

Best part is, Reshmonu will give the winning champion a single album of their own.. More details to be revealed soon.

I believe my crews enjoyed the campaign very much.. as much as the kids. Adrian sure did a great job back there. Now, we are down by five, ONE more to go.. back in the city, next weekend.

I remember back in 2008/2009, I was single for a pretty long period of time. I met this bunch of alcoholics (not those with thorn shirts and jobless, mind you) and we were just hanging out at SS2 every single day and we will hit clubs at least three times a week! It is wine on weekdays and Walker on weekends. And this guy below is my drinking mentor... and a very good friend.

Meet Amirul. The Ma-Chi (in short for Malay campur Cina) that speaks Cantonese better and eats pork more than I.

And this woman above, oh boy.. I've never met or witnessed anyone who puked more than her. Her name is Stefanie.I'm the living alibi of her insanity.

Absolutely love this woman although she gets really annoying when she's drunk and always whining about life. Recently graduated, this crazy little fresh grad is out to venture into Sales & Marketing field.

Here we have my fat boyfriend.. who recently fainted after having Tenji.

Don't ask me why, I still laugh about it. Still very patient with me after a year and a month.. pretty amazing aye?

What about me?

Still working my fat ass off to earn that little commission. It's more like satisfaction after completion of an event that was self-planned, self-handled and self-..... Whatever you call it. I rarely have time or the mood to party anymore. I think I lost the mojo :(

BET you've heard much about this over the radio on channel 92.9. ~sings! "BOLA BOLA BOLA BOLA...~~~" . The first event just took place two weeks ago in Pavilion. Yeah, that was what kept me bustling busy for the past two months, and more after this.. KB and JB... we'll be there shortly.

Day One

Press Conference was held at La Bodega, Pavilion KL. Attended by VIP Henrik (DiGi's new CEO), VIP Albern (CMO) and a few others from AMP and charity homes, everyone was made a lot more stressful. Below is during Henrik's attempt to score the o-so-easy goal to kick start the gambit.

It was all done for a good cause.. Chosen for participation were the few favorite charity homes of JJ & Ean. God bless the world... ya ya na na... NEXT------>

We had a great Human Foosball match on day one, the first match that actually got the other crowd participating after... the 'AMP VS DiGi' .

I didn't manage to snap any picture as I didn't have my camera with me and I was having too much fun taking videos of everyone. It's just nice to see em big boys doing their thing, you know?

Day Two

It was slow at 9am... The rain started pouring... and ended right at 12 noon when Mark.A told us so.. Miraculous!

At 6.30pm, the BALLS were released ....

Oh my, the crowd went BALLISTIC!

THREE of my crews sprained their neck, FIVE broke their legs, TWO got punched in the face, and WORST OF ALL........

I WAS JUST KIDDING.

Only one of my crews got kicked by a kid in her leg and another got stepped on the feet lah.

We had over 500 balls in there and the cue went all the way to the water fountain area. It was madness at just the redemption counter alone. Despite the cue, we had it all well prepared and all 500 redemption were done within 20 minutes. GREAT JOB FELLOWS!

Day Three

Games, games and more games. By then, all energy was drained. I lost my voice for the day and after so many times of entering the billboard where the two celeb DJs were, I could still forget to snap a pretty shot with them.

Ahyayay....

It was my first project ever. Without great pointers and guidance of the few sweethearts, I would have crashed long ago..... Oh Oh... I liked my room at Picollo though! Very pretty. I had it all to myself for four nights! Me like!

Oh, that's JJ & Ean's room......

Mine is the one below...... I didn't know Picollo was a boutique hotel. It was just the pretty looking part, room services were totally out of the picture! But for guys/foreigners, you could be in luck. My room was on the eleventh floor and my boss' room was on the twelve. When I was walking to his room to pick up my laptop, I overheard loud moans few doors away! OMFG. ewww!

I know. Poor quality pictures ya? Still saving up for a new one.

At meantime, I shall pao my company cam. shhhh!

If you're a Singaporean looking for rooms to rent, Malaysian going to Singapore to stay or work, other foreigners who are considering Singapore as your second home or whatnot, continue reading.

When I was in Singapore exactly three years ago, I intended to reside there to do my studies. With the word of mouth and help of my relatives and friends, I searched all over for apartments to stay in as I had always liked the idea of living on my own.

I've searched hi and low all across Singapore and the average rent per room was SGD400 (non-sharing) and SGD500 for sharing. That was the only price I could afford as a student then, yet the cheapest found. The few main concerns that involves renting a room has always been:

1. Transportation convenience (Mean of transport: MRT, Bus, Cab)

2. Distance from the city (in Singapore, its important)

3. Room rental

4. Reliability of landlord and housemates

5. Facilities and MISC

6. Condition of the apartment/room

For that, I called several agents to bring me up to many different units, taking up a lot of my time and cab fares. Thank God for the few people who were kind and sweet enough to drive me around, cab fares did not cost THAT much. Well, there weren't much online sites for me to visit at that time that was reliable enough for me to use, hence the hassle. Here that I found a site that I believe could be useful to most of you (those I mentioned in the beginning) who is searching for ROOMS IN SINGAPORE , I shall be the kind soul to share it with you.

Just witnessed four cars getting towed by DBKL without a warning. They came and dashed off in split seconds. I could have faced the same tragedy as the towed car owners if I was a minute late. Those idiots are just too damn free to come pay us visits daily and suddenly shock us with such things. Government probably did not pay them enough. Flavours Explosion

Last Friday, 15 January, I kinda attended the first bloggers outing. This time, it was hosted by Ellie Chee. Malaysians being the "late coming" people, most were obviously, late. :S

I drove straight from work so I went in to have a sip first while waiting for the rest, including mybitche. I was warmly welcomed by the waiters and one of them brought me to my outdoor seat where I could take a puff before it all started. I could see two long tables nicely arranged at a corner in the restaurant when I arrived.

Slowly, everyone arrived including the host, Ellie, Jonathan Yip, SmashpOp, Josh Lim, Leonard and a whole bunch of others.

The first thing I liked about Kitchen Creatures is the price, DIRT CHEAP for western food with much varieties. Second is the friendly waiters, especially the bald one who was hanging around with us half the time. He's the chef and owner too, if I didn't recall wrongly.

Then the complimentary bites came. Cameras were all on standby when the 6 mini Baked Stuffed Mushrooms (stuffed with crabstick and shiitake flavoured cheese, lightly baked) came. I am guessing that it is their signature dish. It was my favorite as it cheesily satisfied my taste bud for the night. (yUUUMS) Then came the Spicy Beef Pepperoni (mozarella, cheddar, with beef pepperoni and jalapeno peppers). OOOO Sinful bites.

MyBitche ordered his usual medium rare Sirloin Steak, but it came fully cooked. The Sirloin Steak was served with Angel Hair pasta and stir fried vegetables. Nice presentation, fresh and tasty.

I ordered the double pies (the set comes with two pies where you can choose two out of three choices). Served was my all time favorite Chicken Pie and Tuna & Macaroni Pie. Interesting aye? I liked the Tuna & Macaroni one better, something different.

Flashes of lights pretty much brightened the restaurant, as if there were celebrity in the house if seen from outside. lols. Good fun.
