Two rounds of Quattro, BORING.

Thursday night-SQ got Joe and I media passes to be the few firsts' to checkout the new club in town, Quattro, Avenue K. It's like a bigger version of Scarlet. There were buffet served for dinner and free flow of alcohols. However, the music was poor for such places. *thumbs down* The Winter Room's cool though, another one like Sanctuary's.

Friday night-SQ got me a table for my friends. Should I say I was under the media list or the RSVP guest. Whatever. Steffie, Clay and I followed Matthew's car down. Sue Ann, Josh, Daniel, Michelle, Sanny,Fuzzie and all came later. Again, I was disappointed again. So, we left to Passion and spent the rest of the night there.

Well.. pictures to be uploaded soon. Gonna crash at Wei San's place tonight.

See you @ The Apartment tomorrow! muah!

Penang Tears

Left home at eight in the morning, with dad and sis, we arrived at our destination around twelve. My tummy still felt a lill bloated after the Roti Hawaii that I shared with Josh at three that morning. Therefore, I decided to have something lighter in taste for tummy calming.

Penang has always been known for being one of the best historical cities in Malaysia. Just look at the beautiful buildings everywhere! The fine arts created during the British occupation. What more when you find the best varieties of A La Carte's at prices as low as RM2.80 for a bowl of ais-kacang. How often do you find Fish Nasi Lemak? I'm sure you can't find it here in KL!

We don't always get the chance to go up to Penang due to time constrain. When we do, we obviously cannot miss out the yummy deserts, fried oyster, ikan bakar, char keuy teow and etc.

If you were like us, lazy as hell to drive about to different coffeeshops to taste different food, try considering a food court.

Photobucket

Hey hey hey! This' not like the ordinary foodcourt like those we have here in the big city where Myanmar or Indonesian workers are hired to cook Chinese food.

It just taste bad. Over in Penang, the older the cook is, the tastier the food gets! dayUums.
About New World Park, well, lets just say daddi was telling me how it used to be a very popular place where big artists filmed their movies there. (Sorry, too lazy to google it)

Daddi was thrilled that day alright. He's just as crazy as I am like how I get all so excited when I see little puppies on the streets. Oh.. or when I bought this stylo modern Cheongsam at Gurney Mall which costs me RM180+. I instantly fell in love with it.
Deal with it or get outta my face! :p

That Tee Nyah Kueh thingy.. that black sauce is actually brown sugar, not rojak sauce. It was not bad, not 'that' great but acceptable. Bbuttt.... we went back the next day and bought fifteen boxes of it. err.. *scratches head*

I so loved the lok-loks... Fatman steamboat is seriously..SERIOUSLY.. nothing as compared to that. The sauces were just perfecto! That's the essential to all Lok-Loks.. hoho.

Alright, what next? Mee mamak! I've been craving for that since the day I laid my feet on the island. Daddi just couldn't tell me earlier that we were gonna go checkout the chinese speaking indian fellow's place that we saw on television last month. Wow. Two rounds of mee mamak, back-to-back summore. Great!

Now why do I keep telling myself that my weighing machine is spoilt.

After two days of eye torturing, tissue wasting, having all 'samkulokpor' coming up to me and telling me

"ohh... you're so big already ahh.. very pwetty edi ohh.. you remember me ahh.. I used to carry you when you were a baby.. awwww @#%*!" (in Hokkien) ,

I almost lost my mind. Added the secrets revealed to me after all these years, plannings that I was put in responsible of doing for KnockOut, work problems that came up..
I couldn't help but to disobey and lie to everybody about not staying in that night.

I was all on my own in the room afterall, since dad and sis left early, leaving the whole room to myself. Alone, I walked out to the streets in search for a quiet place to have a mind set-back drink.

Thankfully my hotel is just a minute walk away from the Penang version of Heritage Row and a couple of bars with lots of foreigners there. It was a tourist attraction location, very strategic.

I miss the Shell days.. Babes.. *laughs*

What's done is done. Look back but can't turn back. It was so close.. to seeing her for the last time before she left when I had the sudden urge of going down recently. I've mentioned it in my previous post in the Raya week.

It felt as if she tried to reach out to me, I heard, felt it, but ignored.

Too Late

Just couple of weeks back, I remember it was a Sunday. I was watching this TV show called the 'Ho Chak'. A local show that features local food, popular stores at hawker centres all over the nation. Well, dad and sis watches it weekly. So yeah.

I remembered they were featuring Penang food that day, both dad and I were just talking about it and all, we were just saying how we missed the food back there. In my heart I was thinking of going down during Raya for a couple of days just to chill out a lil bit and maybe visit my grandma over there. I've always thought to myself, I should see her, I should see her.. but never once got the chance to do that ever since my grandpa passed away. She had Alzheimer so I thought maybe she wouldn't recognize me at all and that I still have plenty of time to see her. Drag and drag and drag.

The last reason that actually is bringing me back to Penang again, now, the place where I was born, is a funeral. Her funeral.
We were both borned in the year of Snake (Chinese Zodiac) and we both loved spicy food. I remembered how she and grandpa used to come over to my place everyday with my favourite junk food and new toys just cause they pampered me most amongst my other cousins. I was their favourite. Even when it's Chinese New Year, they will both give me a special red packet and told me not to tell my cousins. I loved them so much. It's just a total different thing as compared to my grandparents here whom I was never close to.. or even wanna be close to.
It's too late to do anything right now. Nothing at all..

I was stoned when mom called this afternoon.

I just lost a friend, now Her?

Just few days back, Lisa and Melissa told me about the death of their friend.
What is going on? Is it like the month of death or what?

I just couldn't express my feelings right now. It just aches and I can't do anything about it..
Babes.. if you want to do anything, do it now. If you wanna say anything, say it now. We never know what will happen next. Only God knows. ..before it's too late.

A Knock To Remember

Shelter, a registered welfare organization, has been in existence since 1981 to help, rescue and protect children from the trauma of physical and sexual abuse, extreme neglect, being abandoned and being a victim or witness of domestic violence. Besides helping the children to overcome their initial trauma and restoring self-acceptance, dignity and their trust in humanity by giving them unconditional love, care, and an education they unite the children with their families where possible and to reinforce the above by regular follow-up so that they can become useful citizens. To let them know that they are not alone and do something! Don't know how?

I know!

Boon Jiin will be cremated later. Be at his house by nine in the morning and convoy to the crematorium together at ten. Mourn for the last time and say a little prayer. Celebrate the life of his and rejoice for his return to the Lord.

Because of my college presentation and project meeting after that, I will not be able to make it to pay my last respect to him. I believe he will understand. He always did and always will. I shared my problems with him once, and so did he. Although it was just for a very short period of time, but he will never be forgotten. He's still with us, just watching us from up above. Rest in peace, my dear friend.

Treasure & Cherish

The big boys can never get enough of Sanctuary. Wonder why.

Weeks after weeks, I always end up at the same place, regardless of how many times I've told myself never to step in there again.

They played a game, to win themselves tickets to some party, F1 race or some sort. All they needed to to was just to be the first to walk up to the console with a pair of socks, a glass of Coke, a pair of bra and a chick.

See the girl on the right? She won the tickets. hahah. How bold of her. She touched Victor's socks.. eee!

Last Thursday was no ordinary day which usually ends at Euphoria.

I drove down to Clayton's place in Subang and followed him and Steffie to Rawang. (what!? Rawang? where!?) Oh yes, Rawang. Some friends were having drinking sessions there at a glass house. hmm. Sounds better?

It was late noon when we arrived at the location. Wow. What an eye-opener.

Deep in the kampung area, driving on tar and bumpy roads, bypassed some super low-cost kampung houses (wait, it hardly was 'houses', more like shelters), and finally arrived at this secluded place in the middle of nowhere. There stood a metal gate, almost at the end of the road, then an Indian man walked out to open the gate for us. (Eyes wide open)

I fell in love with that place. Get me that place for my birthday pls pls.. :)

With the waterfall just a few minutes walk away, a private rectangular swimming pool, and the best part was the land was all private property so no public contaminating the water and the view.

Had a guy I just met for the first time chasing me all over just to get me into the pool. I could have! No one told me there was gonna be water! I didn't bring any change so I decided to stick to the ground. Sobs.

We had barbeque. Marinated chicken, grilled-fried chicken, crab sticks, cheese sausages, cheese scallop cake, and fishballs. dayUUms..

I was complimented for being a good cook! First time! (terima kasih banyak-banyak!)

Present there were Clayton & Steffie, PV, Michelle, Josh, and a few other.

omg. My memory's getting worse!

Later..
Left for movies, then yumchar with Vince and Jonz at Ming Tien, Tmn Megah. I was craving for dessert you see. My sea coconut with jelly and sago.

It was 12 plus and my dessert stall was closed. Dammit!

We talked cock for like two hours until we decided to do stupid things. U knoe.. like climbing the coconut trees there or break marble tables..

but no.

.....to be continued :)
